Arrival
The rental starts after the flight.
Montreal-Trudeau is also called Dorval and YUL. It is one airport, on the island’s west side, not in the old port.
Winter arrivals meet snow, bridges, and a city that may be slower than the flight board suggested. No terminal walk-through is published.
The city guide is Montreal.
Into the city
Leaving the airport is its own drive.
You drive into an island of bridges and tunnels. Downtown, Laval, and the south shore are different next hours. Name the real destination.
A one-way toward Quebec City or Ottawa is possible as a human plan and unconfirmed as a rental route.

Vehicle
Choose for the luggage and the next road.
A compact car suits a central borough if the weather is kind. An SUV suits a Laurentian idea. Do not take a low luxury car into a snowstorm because the hotel is formal.
Before you book
Questions worth asking a provider.
Ask whether the car is collected at a terminal desk, in a garage attached to the terminal, or at a lot that needs a shuttle. Ask what happens if the flight is late, whether the pickup window can move, and what documents the driver must show.
Ask how fuel is handled, whether mileage is limited, whether an extra driver can be added, and what the company means by its protection options. Those answers belong to the company you choose. Ebomim does not run a desk at this airport.
Use the airport’s own directions once you are in the building. If the car will not come back here, read one-way car rental before you assume the return is simple. Late flights are discussed in pickup and drop-off, and the licence and insurance questions are on driver requirements and insurance.
