Pickup truck rental
A pickup is for a bed: furniture, tools, soil, a run to a rural property. It is a poor disguise for a family car unless the family likes that compromise.

A pickup is for a bed: furniture, tools, soil, a run to a rural property. It is a poor disguise for a family car unless the family likes that compromise.
The decision
People rent a pickup when something will not fit in a trunk: furniture, tools, soil, or a purchase that has to come home the same day. The open bed is the point. It is a poor disguise for a family car unless everyone accepts that compromise.
The errand is often suburban: a hardware store, a new subdivision, an industrial park, or a short highway run. Downtown loading is harder. Read the city guide if the streets matter, and keep the vehicle decision here.
A pickup is not a cargo van. Open cargo gets weather and theft. A tall load may need a different vehicle entirely. If the goods must stay enclosed, read cargo van rental. If the load is larger than a half-ton bed, read truck rental.
Use
Brampton, Mississauga, Surrey, and similar suburban geographies generate this search because the errand is local and the item is awkward. Downtown cores are a worse fit: loading docks are rare, parking is short, and a long box is a nuisance in a laneway.
Rural and small-city use is cleaner. You are often on a highway for an hour and in a gravel yard at the end. Check the Edmonton, Calgary, Halifax, and Ottawa pages if the truck is also your transport for the week, not only a tool for an afternoon.

Limits
Most light pickups are driven on an ordinary car licence in Canada, but a heavier truck may not be. Do not guess. The driver requirements page explains why the class of licence has to be confirmed for the actual vehicle.
One-way pickup and one-way truck searches overlap. If you are leaving the truck in another city, start with one-way rental and treat availability as unknown until a supplier confirms it.
Ebomim does not state a payload, a box length, or a price. Those figures change by model and are not on file.
Questions
Not here. Pickup means a light truck with a bed. Truck rental is the larger hauling problem.
You can, and many people do. If seats and weather protection matter more than the bed, compare an SUV or minivan.
No. There is no office map and no live yard inventory.
Use the cargo van page.
