Arrival
The rental starts after the flight.
Toronto airport car rental, Pearson airport car rental, and the cheap variations are one arrival. The field is in Mississauga. Downtown is a drive on the 427 and the Gardiner, or a train you might have taken instead.
This page does not name a terminal door, a shuttle company, or a rental counter. Use the airport’s own directions in the building, and leave time after landing before you drive. A late transcontinental flight is a poor start for a same-night run toward cottage country.
Billy Bishop on the island is a different airport and a poor place to assume a car rental. This guide is Pearson, also called YYZ.
Into the city
Leaving the airport is its own drive.
Leaving Pearson you meet airport roads and then a freeway decision: into the core, west along the 401, or north toward Brampton and the 400. The city guide is Toronto. The suburban base is often Mississauga.
If the car ends in Montreal or Ottawa, it is a one-way request. Do not assume the return is included in the word Pearson.

Vehicle
Choose for the luggage and the next road.
Luggage plus a downtown garage favours a smaller car. A cottage or a January highway favours an SUV. A group on one booking may want a van and should be honest about who can drive it.
If the budget is the constraint, read cheap car rental for the trade-off, then keep the arrival on this page.
Before you book
Questions worth asking a provider.
Ask whether the car is collected at a terminal desk, in a garage attached to the terminal, or at a lot that needs a shuttle. Ask what happens if the flight is late, whether the pickup window can move, and what documents the driver must show.
Ask how fuel is handled, whether mileage is limited, whether an extra driver can be added, and what the company means by its protection options. Those answers belong to the company you choose. Ebomim does not run a desk at this airport.
Use the airport’s own directions once you are in the building. If the car will not come back here, read one-way car rental before you assume the return is simple. Late flights are discussed in pickup and drop-off, and the licence and insurance questions are on driver requirements and insurance.
