Truck rental

A truck, on this site, means the load has outgrown a pickup: a move, a commercial run, a box that needs a real cargo floor.

The decision

Keep trucks separate from pickups.

Use a truck when the load has outgrown a pickup: a household move, a commercial run, or anything that needs a floor and walls. Calgary, Montreal, Edmonton, Toronto, and Mississauga come up often because the cities are large. The size question is the same wherever you are.

A pickup has an open bed. A truck, here, is enclosed and usually taller. Ask what licence the company expects, how high the floor is, and whether a loading ramp is included. Those details change by vehicle.

The photograph shows a box truck as an example. A name on the door is not a partnership and not an offer. Ebomim does not keep trucks, and the one you are offered may be shorter or taller than the one in the picture.

Commercial

Say if the truck is for work.

Commercial truck rental near me usually means tools, fixtures, or inventory, not a holiday. Tell a future supplier that. Personal moving and commercial hauling can be different agreements.

Discount language is the same caution as on the cheap car page: Ebomim does not print a discounted truck rate. A one-way truck across Canada is a classic request and a classic place for surprise conditions. Use one-way as the planning frame.

Questions

Before you decide

Do I need a special licence?

Sometimes, depending on the truck. Confirm against the actual vehicle. See driver requirements.

Is a discount published?

No.

Is this page for pickup trucks?

No. Use the pickup page for a light truck with a bed.

Can I take a truck one way?

Plan it as one-way and treat the route as unconfirmed.

Next

Note the place and the dates.

The planner records a pickup, a return, and an optional vehicle class. Ebomim does not reserve a car or publish a rate.
