By using Ebomim you agree to this privacy policy. If you do not agree, leave the site. The pages give general information about car rental in Canada and a planning form. They do not reserve a vehicle, take payment, or open a customer account.

Information

Information the site can receive.

You can use the guides without giving a name. If you use the contact form, you choose to type a name, an email address, a topic, and a message. The server checks that those fields are present, that the email looks like an email address, and that the topic is one of the listed choices. A hidden field is there for automated submissions. If that field is filled in, the message is rejected and is not emailed. Do not send a payment card number, a driver’s licence number, or a government identifier.

If the checks pass, the site asks the server mail function to send the message to [email protected]. Your email is used as the Reply-To address so a reply can go back to you. The site does not keep a database of messages. If the mail function does not accept the message, you see an error, and the site does not say the message was sent. If it does accept the message, that means the mail function accepted it for delivery. It does not confirm that the message has arrived in an inbox.

The planner puts the pickup place, an optional drop-off, dates, times, and an optional vehicle class into the address of the plan page in your browser. Those details are not emailed.

The host that delivers the site may keep ordinary server logs, which can include an IP address, browser type, date and time, referring page, and the address requested. Those logs are used to keep the site available and to investigate abuse. The pages themselves do not load an analytics service or an advertising tracker. The scripts on this site run the menu, the planner checks, and the choice on the cookie notice. Ebomim does not add an advertising pixel, a social plugin, or a cross-site profile.

Use

How information is used.

A contact message is used to read your question and, where a reply is appropriate, to answer it at the email address you provided. Messages accepted by the mail function are delivered to [email protected]. Trip details stay on the plan page so you can read what you entered. They are not used to build a marketing profile.

Ebomim does not sell personal information. There is no customer list, loyalty programme, or remarketing audience on these pages. The site does not process bookings.

Cookies

Cookies, local storage, and log files.

The notice at the bottom of the page asks you to accept or decline. Either choice is stored in local storage on your browser under the name ebomim-cookie. It only remembers that choice. It is not an advertising identifier, and declining it does not turn on a tracker. Clearing site data removes it, and the notice can appear again.

The pages themselves do not set analytics cookies or advertising cookies. A hosting or security service in front of the site might set a technical cookie of its own. If that happens, it is the host’s cookie, not an Ebomim marketing cookie. More detail is on the cookie policy.

Log files are not cookies. They can still contain an IP address. They are kept for operations and security for as long as the host keeps them.

Others

Other sites and other companies.

A guide may link to another Ebomim page. It does not embed another company’s booking engine. If you leave this website for a supplier, an airport, or any other site, that destination has its own policy. Ebomim is not responsible for how that other site collects or uses information.

Photographs on the site are stock images. They are not pictures of customers. A rental company you deal with later is a separate organisation with its own privacy terms. This policy does not bind that company.

Rights

Your choices.

You can refuse the local preference, block scripts, and withhold the contact form. The articles remain readable. You can ask to see, correct, or delete information held about you by writing to [email protected] or calling +1 (780) 835-6133. This website does not keep its own database of form messages. A message that the mail function accepted may exist in the mailbox and in ordinary mail logs.

In Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and applicable provincial laws set expectations for organisations that collect personal information in commercial activity. This page is not legal advice and does not claim that the site has been certified under those laws. People sometimes take unresolved privacy complaints to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. That office is not appointed here as Ebomim’s contact. Write to the email above first.

The site is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. Do not send a child’s personal information through the contact form.

Keeping

How long information stays, and how it is protected.

The cookie choice stays in your browser until you clear it. A contact message that the mail function accepts remains in that mailbox, and may also remain in ordinary mail logs, for as long as the mailbox and the host keep them. This policy does not set a fixed number of days. Server logs are kept for as long as the host keeps them. No payment data is stored, because the form is not a place for payment data.

The public site is at https://ebomim.com. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Changes

Changes to this policy.

If the way the site handles information changes, this policy will be updated on this page. The version you are reading describes an informational site that does not reserve vehicles or take payment. Continuing to use the site after a change means you are using the updated policy.
