Arrival
The rental starts after the flight.
St. John's airport car rental starts above the city. The airport is not on the harbour. Wind and fog can make the first drive shorter than the itinerary you wrote at home.
Ask the airport or the rental company how you reach the car. The city guide is St. John's.
Into the city
Leaving the airport is its own drive.
You descend into a hilly city. A large van is more work here than on a prairie grid. If the plan is the coast road, give yourself daylight.
This page does not book ferries or describe outport roads in detail.

Vehicle
Choose for the luggage and the next road.
A sensible car or SUV is the right ambition. Luxury is optional and often beside the point in the first hour off the plane.
Before you book
Questions worth asking a provider.
Ask whether the car is collected at a terminal desk, in a garage attached to the terminal, or at a lot that needs a shuttle. Ask what happens if the flight is late, whether the pickup window can move, and what documents the driver must show.
Ask how fuel is handled, whether mileage is limited, whether an extra driver can be added, and what the company means by its protection options. Those answers belong to the company you choose. Ebomim does not run a desk at this airport.
Use the airport’s own directions once you are in the building. If the car will not come back here, read one-way car rental before you assume the return is simple. Late flights are discussed in pickup and drop-off, and the licence and insurance questions are on driver requirements and insurance.
Questions
Before you decide
Is the airport downtown?
No.
Are weather delays the rental’s fault?
No. This site holds no booking to delay.
What should I ask after a windy arrival?
Whether a late flight still has a car waiting, and how fuel is handled if fog shortens the first drive.
